Paid internships: The Less Travelled Route to a Real High Paying Career

Of course, topping our list are the paid internships. Who doesn't wish to be paid while working? This is a great philosophy, and hopefully it will work for you. Remember, when you're being paid, you are absolutely regarded as a member of the work team. Expect a more difficult time, as companies usually expect to get their money's worth. That in itself is a good real-world experience; unpaid internships may be regarded less seriously by all for this very reason.

A paid internship may be easier to get after you are more credentialed and have a vast array of relevant experiences, including unpaid internships. Face it, there's little you can do to overcome having to pay your dues! But it's all worth it. Many paid internships never end! If your work is spectacular, you're already a staff member, of sorts, and it's an easy step to get you onto the work team in a more permanent capacity. It happens all the time.

Paid internships often become real high paying jobs. If you shine, act sane and friendly, and really work hard, there's no telling where you may end up. Don't ever let this fact escape you; even with unpaid internships it's fairly common. But with paid internships, it's often an understood, yet unspoken truth that a company is scouting for new talent via their paid internship program. It lets them try out a prospect without risk, or need to pay unemployment insurance if they need to let the person go for non-severe reasons.
